DataMan 300 for challenging 1-D barcodes and 2-D Data Matrix codes.
New DataMan 300 series of readers was developed to handle the difficult-to-read DPM (Direct Part Mark) codes as well as provide high read rates for challenging
1-D barcodes and 2-D Data Matrix codes. - 1DMax+™ with Hotbars™ technology provides higher read rates of damaged 1-D linear barcodes at a faster pace than ever before
- Controllable, field interchangeable lighting
modules allow you to create the best possible lighting for your part, ensuring the highest read rates
- Intelligent tuning automatically adjusts the settings of the integrated lighting to find the optimal light setup for the part

Ensuring traceability along the production line
DPM on a curved, shiny diesel injector presents a challenge to most industrial ID readers |
Automotive manufacturing leaders understand the value of DPM (Direct Part Mark) applications throughout their plants. - Ensure
part traceability by placing 2-D codes on your parts at the beginning of the manufacturing process so that the code can be read after each critical step.
- Achieve production accuracy and measure production performance at the same time.
- Reduce
cost and increase quality of product service/support by providing unit level data to drive warranty, repair, service and support solutions.

Application Story- Cognex ID Readers – the right mix for complete part traceability
By deploying the DataMan 7500, DataMan 100 ID Readers as well as the In-Sight 5110 vision systems from Cognex, Borg Warner Turbo Systems in Germany took
the quality control of their turbocharger production in a new direction. When they implemented a traceability project with a principal objective of using Cognex ID Readers – the DataMan 7500 and the DataMan 100 - to identify the individual code
on a component they were able to create seamless traceability through the production process and beyond.
